  if jesus' own apostles had little faith and the apostle thomas refused to believe jesus had been resurected until he saw him, how can we be expected to have faith nearly 2,000 years later?.

  jesus made a special effort to help doubting thomas believe, getting thomas to put his fingers into his wound, etc.

  it was only then that thomas said "my lord and my god.

  it's only been a month or so sense i fully awoke to the fact that my whole family for 3 generations has been fully entrenched in a cult.

  i went threw terrible drug addiction like withdraws, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts etc etc etc.

  for about a week i could barely sleep and then another all i wanted to do is sleep.

  how can i be right with god?.

  there are only two ways:.

  work to prove, earn, deserve or pay for a right standing with god (unscriptural, and actually causes corruption)seek out and accept the free gift of imputed righteousness, and then be transformed or changed from inside by god's love (scriptural)a person spends his life in a religious system because he wants to be right with god.

  Personally I think you only have to be right with yourself. If you are okay with how you live and any consequences that may come if you're not "right" them RIGHT ON, but if you're not then search on my friend, search on.

  i have this friend, i used to encourage to go to meetings and preach.

  now he is still not going regularly to meetings or preaching but keep sending me emails about how much jehovah loves us and how close the big a is ....

  Tomorrow's Watchtower Study: Steve hits Selma in North America... not South America

  i started a thread a few days ago that probably went unnoticed for the most part (under "scandals & cover-ups") regarding steve hitting selma in tomorrow's wt study... i just wanted to recap it here for those who may have missed it.... the spanish version changes the story completely.... if you've read that paragraph 12 it basically says that steve hit selma as she tried to prove a point.

  selma then feels sorry for herself.. in the spanish version steve merely gets furious with her and she gets sad.. by the way, i just looked up the italian version... .
